EcoFest at the Arb: Join us on October 29!
We are excited to be a part of the 4th Annual EcoFest at the Arb at the beautiful Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine, KS. The purpose of this event is to learn & celebrate ways to make a smaller environmental footprint while becoming better stewards of our fragile planet. The event is both educational and joyful! Taking steps to reduce our impact on the environment does not have to be drudgery.
EcoFest at the Arb is known for its bicycle-powered sound system, live music, food vendors, eco-centric kids' crafts, tiny house display, vendors selling items created from up-cycled and re-purposed items, and informative presenters - all carefully arrayed among the towering trees that create this enchanting and inspiring venue.
An educational component of EcoFest at the Arb is the presentations on topics such as solar energy, eco home retrofits, and tiny house living. FarmShop's, Luke Snow, will be speaking from his expertise in utilizing native plants in the landscape. Plan to attend his 2:30 pm presentation entitled "Landscape for Life" in the renovated historic train depot.
Pack a picnic or support local food vendors and join us from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 29. Supplement your picnic fixin's with fresh, local produce at the event. FarmShop will be hosting a local food area featuring organic vegetables and jams and jellies, as well as grass-fed beef from local farmers.
